And Another End of July Menu

This morning we had rolled barley flakes and honey with milk. For lunch we had bagels with cream cheese and peaches.  I know we had some snacks throughout the day, but I don't remember what they were now. For dinner we had yummy Mexican burritos with almost everything on them.  We ate watermelon after we ate our burritos. Bedtime snack was watermelon and bacon.
I learned a trick  The other day. I learned a new way to pick a nice ripe watermelon. All you have to do is scratch your fingernail along the surface of the watermelon with hardly any pressure. If you get skin off of the watermelon into your fingernail easily,  it is a great watermelon! Both times that I have tried it so far it has worked very well!

End of July Menu

Today for breakfast we ate  homemade molasses – cinnamon muffins and almond milk.  For lunch we ate everything and blueberry bagels, eggs, cream cheese, peaches and nectarines.  For dinner we ate mustard, wheat germ, and butter topped tilapia  with coleslaw and leftover whole-wheat elbows that had some tomato sauce in them. It has been helpful to be eating all together at the table. It helps the kids not be so hungry for snacks throughout the day and keeps the mess in one room. I also know better who's eaten. I want to take pictures tomorrow of the food I fix. That will make the blog more interesting  to look at. 😀

Of money and miracles

Affirmations are a great way to remind yourself of who you are, and what you want in your life. The other day, I typed in some money affirmations and the next day I got two checks for $55 each.  And just today I got another check for $109. Were these already on their way in the mail when I typed my affirmations in? Yes, I'm sure they were. But I also believe that my energy of accepting money helps attract them to me and helped me feel happier when they came.
Another story about money is that today I was at the grocery store  paying for my food. I handed the cashier $60. I've been extra careful lately to look at my money carefully and keep better track of it than I used to. When the cashier gave me the change,  she gave me five dollars to many. I told her about the mistake and she assured me that I had given her $65. I know that this was a miracle from God I feel that he was trying to tell me that when I put my faith in Him He blesses me more than I expect.
